Ann Beisser
Photographer
About the Photographer: After teaching science for 20 years, Ann Beisser was given her first underwater camera by a dive friend who thought she would enjoy the underwater world more by recording what she encountered. Today, she has become an accomplished underwater and nature photographer. Spending hours in the field waiting for a specific animal's behavior. Ann has not only taken some intimate animal portraits, but she has also begun to write companion stories to go with her photographs. Ann believes that photography can be used to further enhance peoples awareness for the need to protect and conserve our wild animals and wild places.
Nature and Underwater
Photography
Although Ann's nature photos encompass locations such as Alaska and Yellowstone, she specializes in animals and birds of her home state of Arizona. Underwater, Ann prefers to photograph closeups of corals and abstracts of fish from California to British Columbia and as far away as Fiji.
